Project Concept: Witch Doctor

Writing in early 2019

Here is the narrative backbone behind the design project Witch Doctor.

It’s a beautiful Tuesday morning in Downtown New Orleans. The sun is reflecting off the

Mississippi River and the Magnolia Flowers have just started to bloom. People are partying on Bourbon Street (more than usually), counting the beads they’ve collected from the past few days, and preparing themselves for the parades to come. It was Mardi Gras! And the entire city felt alive and full of energy … maybe too alive. Lurking in the alleyways Siuol the Voodoo Doctor has been syphoning the energy radiating from the city preparing to unleash it in the form of dark arts. “By the time the first parade starts my plan will be finish and the city will be mine!” The time was nigh and Siuol trapped all citizens’ souls into voodoo doll and other evil vessels, making the take over of the city a piece of king cake. There was only one who could resist the voodoo magic attack, Louis the Witch Doctor. Now it is up to Louis to free the trapped soul and put an end to Siuol’s reign. The fate of the city is in Louis’s hands!
